A: We cater to serious self-defense, tactical, and competitive shooters who wish to train beyond the basics and become as skilled as possible.
ImpactZone members should be intermediate to advanced shooters who understand how to conduct themselves safely – without constant supervision – so that their skills can grow and experience can be maximized. Thus, if you are accepted as a Member, you have represented that you are competent and safe with firearms.
We welcome beginner shooters, but insist either a Member, Instructor, or Match Director/Safety Officer be supervising them.
A: Beginning in 2024, Membership will be $400/year – Renewed 365 days after initial payment. After the first 200 members sign up there will be an additional $75 initiation fee. Payment is by Cash or Check. All members must attend a Membership Orientation session prior to their first use of the range.
A: At the Range Classroom/Clubhouse. As of October 21, 2024 individual or group appointments are being accepted. Contact the Range, and we will try to make reasonable accommodation.

A: Membership Cards will be issued to every Member. You must have the card with you when you are at the range – in your wallet, your range bag, or your vehicle is all fine, but you must show it if asked.
A: Members will be allowed Two (2) Guests during a visit, whether they be family, friend, or otherwise. Members will be considered accountable and responsible for the safety and actions of their guests while on the premises.
Match and Class participants are considered Guests and are only allowed to handle/shoot firearms on the property while under the supervision of Match Cadre or the Instructor(s) for those events.
A: We recognize that sometimes our Members may have larger families or groups of visiting friends. The issue with making exceptions to the 2-Guest Policy is more than two guests means the paying member has to keep track of the safe behavior of a larger number of people. This can get to the point that to keep everything safe, you must structure activities as if you are an instructor running a Class. So, for the safety of everyone on the Range, more than 2 guests constitute a Class, even if it’s an informal one.
Members may request an exception for up to 4 guests total for an additional fee of $25 per person, per day, for each guest beyond the 2 guests allowed – the Range must be notified and additional fee paid in advance of the visit (same day upon arrival is fine).
More than 4 guests will be considered the same as a more formal class and need more advanced scheduling, insurance, etc.
A: We currently have 11 total bays (#0 thru #10). All but two are roughly 25 yards square. The Main Bay (#6) is about 50 yards square. Bay #0 is currently out of service. The Long Range currently has 100 & 200 yard positions but will be upgraded to 300 yards soon. Reservations for Members and up to 2 guests are not mandatory and you can occupy a Bay for the day. All Bays are available daily on a first-come, first-served basis, but formal classes and matches may have a Bay or Bays reserved, particularly on weekends. Reserving a Bay in advance requires a fee – contact the Range for details on specifics. We also offer a 160 square foot Classroom/Clubhouse for classes and events. Unlike the Bays, the Classroom must be reserved in advance.

A: With certain exceptions, the Range is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The primary restriction is only pistol caliber and suppressed weapons allowed after 9pm. Nighttime/pre-sunrise shooters are strongly encouraged to message the Range that you’re on the property when it’s dark. Contact the Range for any specific clarifications needed.
A: Yes, with the following conditions: You must contact the Range to be pre-approved based on your qualifications. After approval, you must contact the Range prior to any visit that you plan to use Full Auto. This includes Binary Triggers, Forced Reset Triggers, Bumpstocks, and other devices designed to increase firing rates. If in doubt, call the Range.
A: For now, we’re completely a BYOT (Bring Your Own Targets) kind of range – this does not include random household items not designed, or typically intended, to be used as shooting targets. For paper and cardboard, we provide a limited number of target stands and target sticks, but that’s it for now. Targets must be attached to the Backer Boards not the support posts – intentionally shooting at the support posts is grounds for membership termination. Barrels, Barricades, & Walls are not Target Stands/Hangers – intentionally shooting at Barrels, Barricades, Walls, or other range equipment is grounds for membership termination.
EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP ANY TRASH THEIR TARGETS PRODUCE – including if the targets themselves break.
Bringing your own steel targets is allowed if minimum distances are respected – See the “What is the minimum distance for steel targets” Q/A below. “Steel” also does not include random household items not designed, or typically intended, to be used as shooting targets. Other reactive targets that don’t leave a huge mess such as commercially made plastic and rubber targets are acceptable. If in doubt, contact the Range for any clarification needed.
A: Minimum distances for steel targets are as follows:
Pistol rated steels:
- Use only pistol caliber rounds that don’t damage the steels.
- Shoot no closer than 7 yards
Rifle rated steels:
- Pistol calibers no closer than 7 yards.
- Intermediate caliber rifle rounds no closer than 50 yards.
- Full power rifle rounds no closer than 100 yards.
All steel targets must be set up so no ricochets fly over the berms, off the property, or back towards shooters or observers.
